On Sunday, Malina Moye received a Proclamation from Lorain, Ohio’s mayor, Tony Krasienko, in front of City Hall to kick off Lorain’s annual “International Day Parade.” Fans watched on through a few raindrops as the creed was made into law.

Later that afternoon, Malina headlined Cleveland’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame tribute for musical legend, Michael Jackson. Moye dedicated her show to the pop icon and took a moment of silence for prayer and reflection, followed by an energetic performance. Crowd favorites were Malina’s newly released singles “Need Your Lovin'” and “Alone,” and a surprise twist on a Jimi Hendrix classic, “Foxy Lady.”

In the days preceding the show, Malina made several appearances in the Cleveland area for the kick-off of her upcoming LP “Diamonds & Guitars” which is slated for digital release on August 18, 2009.
