The post The Drive Hope Choir Performs With Stevie Wonder first appeared on Malina Moye Flagship Site.]]> In early December, the Drive Hope Choir was chosen by Stevie Wonder to open his annual House Full of Toys benefit concert at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The youth choir sang the Wonder hit “Love’s in Need of Love Today” to a sold out theater and brought the house down. Stevie himself came to the stage halfway through the performance to accompany the choir and at the end exclaimed “incredible!” as the kids exited the stage.

 

Watching from the greenroom, Drive Hope co-founder Malina Moye was proud of the kids. “Seeing these kids rehearse, learn to work together in a group—many of them for the first time, and have this experience with Stevie Wonder on stage in front of thousands of people was incredibly rewarding,” says Malina. “They will have this memory for the rest of their lives.”

 

Drive Hope Choir was featured in Kontrol Magazine with a nice shout out by Billboard.com after the show.

 

Started in November of 2016, the Drive Hope Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) with the mission is to fuel the passion and open the minds of underserved youth who don’t have access or resources to consider a career outside of their own difficult circumstances. House Full of Toys is a program started by Wonder’s We Are You Foundation and has raised more than $500,000 for the Junior Blind organization, according to a spokeswoman for the event, and has provided toys to more than 30,000 children over the years.
