Okay let me say this calmly The GRAMMMMMMMMYS!! everything I’ve dreamed about as a little girl was right b4 me 1-31-10 @ 5pm pacific time. What an exciting event and time. This was my first year as an academy voting member and My first year with several of the songs from the Diamonds & Guitars record which were up for consideration for this years Grammys. This was so surreal. My team and I have been working very hard and it was an amazing time. My dad was my date this year. Arrival was insane, as soon as we stepped on the Red carpet everyone was there from Will.i.am to the whole BEP crew. Usher was very kind and came over to say hi to me and my dad George Moye. It was very kool meeting Tony Bennett. He was very gracious and kind. Talk about legends. Jason Mraz and I chopped it up a bit. He told me congrads and that his date was his dad as well. When Dave Matthews and his band stopped to say hello they were Gangsta. I mean i wanted to be in his band. Just had the air of we are the isch!. I must say, I was sooooooo happy to be wearing Kevan Hall. Jai who is amazing is my stylist. She made it happen. Stank u Jai . Kevan is an amazing designer and among the elite in world, No wonder we made the glamour girls Best dressed List at the 52nd Grammy awards this year. Next year will be great!!! Rock and Roll hall of Fame 25th aniversary
December 1st, 2009
Did you guys catch the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame 25 year anniversary? I loved it. It’s so cool how all the artist genuinely love each other. Bruce Springsteen and Darlene love, Metallica to Lou Reed. I loved it. Jeff Beck You rock my world. I loved the “Foxey Lady” sssssmokin, with Billy from ZZtop. Your band is always in top tear shape. Tal I’m a big fan, I loved the way you hear the bass lines when Jeff is doing his thing. Stevie Wonder–speechless. I teared up when you did the Michael Jackson tribute. For some reason when you started singing and you mentioned MJ, it was like it all hit you at that moment. The kind of hit that is not just the world will be missing an Icon, but the kind that said. “I’m missing my friend.” Aunt ReRe, What can I say? Your voice heals people. You’re the Queen! Simon & Garfunkel. I really really enjoyed your performance. GREAT songs, I wish I could write like that!!!
I learned a lot last night. I also learned that I’m so excited to be apart of the music scene. I would like to thank the Rock and Roll Hall Fame for allowing me to be apart of history as well. I performed at the Cleveland Rock Hall this past June, with the Rock hall turning the Rock and Soul, (which is black music and its influence on rock) Day into a tribute to the greatest entertainer in the world– Michael Jackson. It was surreal, I discovered so many of the greats in Lorain, and now one of my dreams was to perform at the Rock Hall. My career is just beginning, but like all musicians, it’s good to visualize, feel it, breathe it. Ultimately, it would be kool to have something set in stone of your musical contributions to the world. Thanks to all the entertainers before me.Thanks for giving me a reason to believe!! Missing you everyday, MJ.

NYC Go-Sees, Fashion Week, Private Performances–Oh My!
September 28th, 2009
Hellllllo,
I need to really catch my breath. We have been going and going and going. Just got back from NYC where i had a great time. First off big shout out to MBK Entertainment in NYC!! It was fabulous and great to meet all of you! I then went to the Grammy Chapters on the east to do a meet and greet. You know I’m a new voting member now. Soo excited. So I wouldn’t be me without saying “For your consideration, please listen to my Diamonds & Guitars record in the R&B categories” while I’m writing this. Then we headed to Philly.
Notes on Front row Fashion week. Amazing. I love Tory Burch, and I was so sad I didn’t get a chance to do the Maggie Colombe trunk show in NYC. Next time. I also went to Elle magazine. If you know me, you know I was sooo excited–I love Elle. So to be in the building meeting the editors and sharing my new record was huge. I also did a photo shoot for a big magazine that I promise to reveal in the coming months. It was shot by Mary Grace McKernan.
I also want to thank my friend Brando who died suddenly after he introduced me to some great people. It’s because of you Brando that we had an incredible time at Mandalay Bay with Green Day. You will be missed–your smile, energy and infectious spirit. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
Also It was my birthday in Vegas so I have to give a shot out to Freeds Bakery (thank you Max!) for making my beautiful cake. They presented it to me at my favorite place Planet Hollywood. They invited my entire family in for a nice dinner. U Rock!!!!
I had sooo much fun and thanks to Las Vegas Bouquet. They presented me with a dozen red roses for the release of the record. Thanks.. Big shout out to Fox 5 vegas had a blast. See you guys next time. Until then love each other. Here is a picture of me and the massive cake.
Oh, I have a lot of video footage as well. I forgot to mention MTV video awards. Bet, I look forward to coming to the office on my next visit. WE had soooo much going on and with all the confusion. I will be there next trip, cant wait. Thanks for the support.

I awoke 8-18-09 very excited like it was x-mas. my team and I have worked very hard at trying to get this record done and out to you guys and finally I can say WE DID IT! First off, I want to say thanks to all the good people who purchased the record, and if you haven’t, well, shame on u… Naw, Please get a copy ASAP. I want to thank the American Best Inn for the hotel room and of course the great gang at the Hard Rock Cafe in San diego. I performed on the Fox 5 morning show. Call time wasn’t too bad– 7am. I did about three bumpers then a full song. It was a lot of fun. I am a huge fan of Arthel Neville, so I was very glad she interviewed me. Just want to give a shout out to the fox 5 team I enjoyed all of the anchors, it was a great time and I look forward to coming back. Quentin Tarantino did a great interview about the new movie Inglorius Bastard with Brad Pitt then I performed Need Your Lovin.
Farewell to Les Paul
August 13th, 2009
Today the industry lost a powerful force in the music industry. Not only was he an uber-guitarist, Mr. Paul is also known for shaping the Rock and Roll sound by inventing such recording industry staples as tape delay, phasing effects, and multi-track recording. We will miss you, King, but all of your innovations will still live through not only your music, but through the music of just about every musician, singer or rapper who steps into a recording studio.
Forever in debt to you,
~Your Student

Robin Thicke and Malina Moye Live!
July 28th, 2009
Ahh, I had a great time as usual as the opening act on Robin Thicke’s East coast dates at the HOB Atlantic City. First off, this is the biggest House of Blues in the country–a lot of live tapings are there. I’m a music sentimentalist to think about all the bands and artist who have played on that VERY stage before Malina Moye stepped foot on it. I look at every venue as an accomplishment.
So first off, I have to thank Robin and his team for making my time with them ever sooo kool. It was great to get to sound check and see everyone. There were a lot of hugs and kisses. Im in such awe of all his band members and there talent and of course Robin. We had a blast. A lucky few scored the Diamond & Guitars record before its release. In fact we sold out!! It was a lot of fun meeting everyone and I really thank you for the great comments about my show. I also have some pictures of me and Robin and his gang below!!
NYC was fun too, but scheduling factors ran in to my Jimmy Fallon Show appearance, yet my publicist reassured me that it will be rescheduled and all will be well. I love the Roots and can’t wait to sit in with Questlove and the gang!!! I told Robin next time we have dates together I have to play guitar on the song Dreamworld. I think its the isch!!! Here’s a link to it. Don’t forget DIAMONDS & GUITARS 8-18-09.

Me And The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Tribute To Michael Jackson
July 1st, 2009
I, like most others, awoke on Thursday June 25, 2009 to another normal day. I was very excited to be back on the road and I had a great reason to be–I was heading back to where it all started for me–Lorain, Ohio. I was set to receive the proclamation from Mayor Krasienko on June 28, 2009, before the Lorain International Parade. Then the bad news hit me while I was boarding another plane in Chicago. The great Michael Jackson had died of heart failure. It was such a shock as I’m sure it was to everyone. This man is a huge influence to me and the music industry, period, but still we had to carry on. My Fox 8 music series morning show was rescheduled on Friday due to MJ’s untimely death.
The good stuff was that during my welcome home, Denny’s which is seriously one of my favorite places to go to after a show, fyi, (u can find me at one closest to wherever I just played generally at midnight or 1am), rolled out the red carpet for us! Jack, the owner of the Denny’s in Amherst, put up “Welcome Malina Moye” on their sign. I was soooooooooooooo excited. So everyone who drove by would say, “Who?” They treated my crew to a wonderful meal. Guys, Denny’s did a great Job!!!! Think of it like this, when have u seen Denny’s put fruit in a fancy glass filled to the top. Never, but alas, this one did!! They rock!
Hey, all your musical request for equipment while in town should be with Ron Zehel Guitar Center. Thanks for the Amps, guys. The Holiday Inn was very cool. They invited us in to a great stay and I have to thank Debbie for a great congratulation cake. It was awesome! My favorite, chocolate with butter creme frosting. If you looking for an amazing wedding, birthday, or high end cake. Look up Delectable Delights by Debbie. Next up, a big thank you to Jackalope Lakeside Restaurant. They treated me and my family in to a great dinner. I even had the chance to take Grandma. She loved it!
I received the Proclamation from Mayor Krasienko in front of City Hall in Lorain. I was very pleased. Marc asked me to prepare something but i didn’t. I just spoke from the heart. Then my moment came full circle when The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert turned into a Tribute to Michael Jackson.
This was incredible, being this is the place where I first discovered the gloved one and here I am performing for him, and reflecting on the time I had dinner with him in NYC. Later I would have a chance to visit the Jackson family compound in Encino. That was surreal.
I personally would love to thank my dad George, Mr. Gerald, Mr. Joe Payne and Mr. Ron H. My bothers, mom Scelestine, Sly, Aunt Nina, Grandma, all my cousins and family in Ohio, and of course Marc for making this tour fun and exciting. MJ, I love you and I know that God is keeping his angel close. Rest in peace. I hope we made you proud.
Miss u

June Tour Dates So Far: Lake Tahoe, Humboldt County, Cleveland
June 18th, 2009
Happy Hot summer! I wanted to drop a line and share some great places I’ve been to so far. I had the pleasure at performing at the Benbow Summer Arts Festival in Humboldt County near San Fran. It was wonderful. Imagine big red wood trees, a cool breeze, and a serene river. Then add in my craziness. It was so much fun. I even got the chance to drive thru a redwood tree. I posted a picture. It was like Dorothy being in the Wizard of Oz. You know the scene where the trees come to life. It was cool, but scary. The trees were over 300 feet tall and centuries old.
Lake Tahoe was breathtakingly beautiful. I performed to a sold out crowd and had a blast. I love great hotels with soft comforters. So the artist quarters gets two thumbs up from me. I felt good, there was a lot of press, and I it’s always nice to headline especially if you’ve been supporting big stars. You really appreciate the audience when it’s all about your music. Next up is Fox 8 Music Series on June 26, and the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. I will have lots to report on. One small thing–the Mayor of Lorain, Ohio, is giving me a Proclamation on my musical efforts thus far. Hey, we are just getting it to flow!!
